Renovating an occupied home: how we minimize disruption
Not every renovation empties the house first. How we sequence work, dust control, and access when you're living through the project.
Many renovations happen while a family is still living in the home. It changes how we sequence the work, but it doesn't have to change the outcome.
Sequencing around livable space
We phase work room by room or floor by floor where possible, so at least part of the home stays functional — a kitchen or bathroom is rarely offline for the whole project.
Containing dust and noise
Sealed containment barriers, negative-air setups, and scheduled noisy work during agreed hours keep the disruption to the areas actually under construction, not the whole house.
Communication is the real deliverable
A weekly walkthrough and a clear point of contact matter as much as the schedule itself — you should never be guessing what's happening in your own home.
